Food & drink
Food is an important part of life at The Old Parsonage. We seek to use locally sourced, free range, organic and fair trade produce wherever possible.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8:15
and 9.30am. Alternatively guests can
choose to have a continental breakfast in their room (with
champagne or Buck’s Fizz for an extra charge).
Typical breakfast menu:
- Fresh orange juice and Cornish apple juice
- Freshly ground coffee
- English breakfast tea, earl grey, green tea and a selection of fruit teas
- A selection of home-made bread
- Home-made marmalade
- A selection of jams and honey
- Muesli and other cereals
- Yoghurt
- Fresh fruit salad
- Full English breakfast – (any or all of) sausage, bacon, tomato, mushroom, egg (fried, scrambled or poached) and baked beans
- Vegetarian full English breakfast
- Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast
- Smoked mackerel
- Porridge with maple syrup and/or brown sugar
- We also offer a breakfast special from time to time such as Eggs Benedict and Kedgeree
Licensed bar
We operate
an honesty bar with a small range of wines, beers and spirits available.
Packed lunch
A choice of sandwiches, fruit, home-made
flapjack (or equivalent), crisps and a cold drink. We can vary
this as requested. £5.95.
Dinner
Out of high season a tasty home-cooked evening meal is usually available subject to advance notice. Two courses £16, three courses £20. Drinks can be purchased from the bar; alternatively you are welcome to bring your own - we charge £2 a bottle corkage for wine and 50p for beer. If you are arriving late (after 9pm), we can usually offer you a £10 snack supper (typically eggs or cheese on toast or pizza plus a dessert of fruit, ice-cream or cake).
